Thank you for your inquiry. This unit will remove particulates from the air, and the Carbon pre-filter will remove some Odors and VOCs from the air. However, if you are looking to remove odors from the air, we would advise using one of the optional S pre-filters, as they are made to specifically remove Odors and VOCs from the air. Please try again later.Not really, the unit works great on dust however you have to buy a special S filter to add to the unit and that is confusing because it is a Hepa type filter, you have to buy 3 and they are sold in 1 pks, it seems it would cost me 90.00 and according to the description they only last 3 months. I called the company and they said a year because it is a Hepa and I have not personally seen the S filter box to see what it says.
