You need a "C" wire. I had an old thermostat that had 4 wires coming in. I was discouraged because I needed another wire. After a little bit of investigating, I pulled a little more of the wire out of the wall and discovered there was an extra wire that was wrapped around the main wire. It is common to run a five wire to the thermostat. I did have to connect it to my furnace as well. Works really nice to control the temp from 2 hours away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
