"Hold" will maintain the temperature you set until you press it again to release. This will override any heating/cooling schedules that you may have set up.

If a hold is set, the thermostat will not perform temperature set point changes until the hold is removed. What are the meaning of hold, Hold- If you press hold and you see hold on the screen you will be able to use your thermostat manually all the time if you want to press hold for few hours you will need to press manually "run schedule" again so it can run the schedule you have set. Permanent hold- works exactly the same the regular hold button works. Temporary hold- It means it will hold the temperature for a few hours and you can manage the time. Hold until- you will be able to manage the time and the date. Hope this helps. -John
