The HEPA filters are located in the base of the Vac below the removable dust canister. Simply pick up the plastic cover and wash the dust filters as needed. This is an item that will eventually need to be replaced. But I don't think very often if you keep them clean.

A HEPA Media Filter is an ultra-fine filter that captures microscopic particles that can easily pass through other filters by a combination of diffusion, interception and impaction. To be considered a HEPA filter, the filter must be tested and certified that it will remove at least 99.97% of particles from the air that pass through the filter.
