• Because it is a good vacuum. Because this is a throw away society, and someone decided to replace a few parts, and resell them.

• Price to fix a vacuum is usually competitive to a new one. Wives like new vacuums, as husbands we don't clean as well as the wives would like us to. So to help in the cleaning it's best to just buy a new vacuum, if you can't fix it yourself. Same goes for that squeaky dryer. Happy wife, happy life.
