Yes, this game will have it as a free upgrade! (The backlash they had when they said it would be charged after promising it was going to be a free upgrade originally was pretty big.) So get the PS4 version to save some shards. : )

I purchased the PS4 version and when i put it in my PS5 it had the free upgrade option down in the right corner of the home screen where it shows trophies and DLC

Yes it does. The box comes with two disks, the data disk and the game disk. The data disk will only download the PS4 version, but if you put in the game disk you’ll see in the bottom right corner an option to “purchase” for free the PS5 version and download it from the internet. You’ll then be able to play the PS5 version as long as you have the disk in the console.
