• No antivirus needed, that is the beauty of a Chromebook. Now when I bought my Chromebook Best Buy threw in a free copy of Micro Trend... it is not designed to run on a Chromebook and will not, it only works on a PC. Best Buy need to understand what they are selling.

Chromebooks use the principle of "defense in depth" to provide multiple layers of protection, so if any one layer is bypassed, others are still in effect.
