This laptop is considered an entry-level computer. It is great for basic tasks like email, surfing the web and basic streaming.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’d say yes; it’s easy to use and easy to set up plus for the price it’s not a bad idea for a beginner. If you’re worried about all of the tech and tons of features, maybe start him off with a Chromebook. They’re more limited to just the internet and basic functions
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is great variance on the correct answer to this query, but my input is NO. Its processor is much too slow and the 4GB of RAM means it is under powered as well. He will most likely find it frustrating. I wouldn't suggest a starter Microsoft computer at less than $200. If you are restricted as to funds, go for a Chromebook, which requires less power to perform basic tasks, and can be purchased at around this price (but make sure he has internet availability).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it doesn’t run at all, he won’t be able to use it for google without waiting 10 minutes for it to stop breaking. I think it easier to go to library & look something up than using this computer
