Yes I am a current college student and I use this laptop for my schoolwork its perfect.

The classes can change the requirements you might need and if you are running multiple programs at once, you will need to be a little higher in specs than the requirements if you do not want to run into issues with lag or failures. This unit also starts in S Mode, so some programs may not work until you turn S Mode off.
