• Yes and the laptop would probably run a lot better because it's to underpowered to even run Windows 11 correctly. I installed Linux Mint on mine and it runs way better than win 11 did

• Thank you for the question. Yes, you can load Linux. For photography work, you'll probably want a laptop with more RAM and more storage (although you can use external storage). A laptop with a faster processor would be a good thing, also.
