Yes it's great for school work. Its fast, easy to use, holds decent storage, not too big and not too small so it's easy to carry around but also not too small to work with. Has a great camera, and has 1 type-c input 1 HDMI input, 1 headphone jack input, and 2 USB inputs. All in all, definitely worth the price. And the color is adorable!

If you plan for this to be your only way of doing schoolwork, i would recommend a laptop with a bigger screen. This 14 inch screen isn't ideal for long-term use but more suitable for work while traveling.
