I was able to upgrade the M.2 drive to the PNY 1TB drive with no issues. There is an empty bay for a 2.5" SATA ssd also. I used the SanDisk 1TB internal ssd (I'm sure other brands will also work) and with a simple change in the BIOS, it works perfectly.
