“When I use zoom and share a powerpoint, the control bar that I see shows up to the viewers as a black box. it only happens wiht this computer. any idea what is causing that and how do I fix it?”

This sounds more like a software or program issue, check your setting and make sure you granted permission to use you're webcam, microphone. If issue persists contact software/program support.
