“Manufacture's showing McAfee Security it states it is not compatible with Windows 11 S and to switch out of " S ".I have TrendMicro Security and Norton VPN on my HP Windows 10 working great for years. Can this be supported in Windows 11 S, not out?”

Not to disagree from the other answer, and nothing against Trend, Norton, or McAfee. or even Bitdefender, Kapersky, Avast, Sophos, ESET, or the other million antivirus programs, but you may find that the security provided by Windows OS's native Defender, when paired with the extra protection provided by S Mode, will be more than enough protection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Adding more information: don't be intimidated by the idea of exiting S mode. I once had to take a (timed) course and had purchased a new laptop for it, not noticing it was in S mode until I started the course, and the course required installation of non-Microsoft Store software. Despite the pressure, I was able to perform the exit procedure, install the software, and start the course, all within the imposed time framework.

You will need to switch the laptop out of S mode in the Windows account settings section of the laptop. You can switch the laptop to Windows 11 Home for free. Microsoft has instructions for switching out of S mode on their website if you need help.
