Thank you for your question about this HP laptop! This laptop uses an NvME drive for its storage. As for programming, that depends on the programming that you intend to do.

What "complicated" drive have you in mind? 2. "Decent" and "fast enough" are both relative and questions, with subjective answers in each case. Only you can decide for yourself, especially with regards to "programming" (also relative, if you didn't know). 3. Again, what you regard as "10" is needed to evaluate the best reply to this question.
