Mine came with a power adapter. If I were you, I'd contact Best Buy. I'm betting they'll get one for you.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties! Our laptops are always supposed to include a power adapter in the box, so this is definitely unusual. You can contact either Best Buy (if Open-Box) or HP Support about this issue to receive a replacement.
