A:Answer Windows 11 "S-mod" is security mode. In S-mode, the system will not allow unapproved programs to be opened or installed. The system starts-up in S-mode. When I clicked download for Google Chrome, the system told me that program could not be installed because it wasn't approved in S-mode. It gave me the option (and a warning of why I shouldn't) to exit S-mode. It was easy to exit. Since I didn't stay in S-mode, I can't how that would have influenced the system had I stayed in S-mode.
