Check the HP site to download "HP print and scan Doctor". It may resolve your issue. Another option is to look for driver updates specific to your printer on the HP support. Type in your model and search support.. I have on old HP all in one and I was able to do so with my printer as well as updating my wireless driver to see the router from my cable company.

A friend of mine has a printer that is more than 10 years old and uses (used 58). You can't find 58 anymore so, she had to get a new printer. I think you might be in the same boat.

I have a HP 5650 and it works fine on all my computers running windows 7 and windows 8.1 and also on my network using the cisco print app. I love this printer.
