You should only have to replace the one black you are using. One balck should be for regular printing the other black is photo ink.

To print pictures requires both the Black cartridge and the Black Photo cartridge in the printer. To print documents only requires the Black cartridge. Note: The printer will still print pictures if the Black Photo cartridge is empty, but the picture quality is poor and lacks any gloss.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yo ushould only need to buy the black ink. I don't print in color as it just costs to much. I have empty color cartidges in my printer and just replace the black cartidge when needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just the black but you must change the printer properties to greyscale and then on the drop down menu select black ink only. You usually need to do it a few times until the printer "learns it". Good luck
