“I have a HP photosmart 7520 printer I need the slimmer black cartridge 564 black. I purchase the 564 and the 564 XL and there BOTH to Wide for first slot. Both fit last slot on right HELP !!!! I NEED INK BLACK INK FOR THE FIRST”

You need the 564 (or 564XL) Photo Black cartridge. It is the same width as the Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. The wider black cartridge is for regular printing as most of your printing is in black and white. The photo cartridge has an image of a camera on it (see photo) and the symbol is two opposing triangles.

The 1st slot is for photo black on mine, it is a little thinner? Maybe that helps!

look for the little black bowtie on the label. it is the only one that will fit

What you want is the HP photo ink cartridge.
