Cartiridges r only 1/2 filled I had mine 3 weeks and it was showing me that it was low on ink. And Best buy WOULDN'T give me NEW ones. I'm not an everyday user either. Store is selling (defected) cartridges. Don't buy them.

I have found the extra ink is not worth the extra cost. I do not get that many more pictures

Since you don't use your printer very much, stick with the HP 61 original. The ink does expire and it can dry out if not used very much.

Yes, the XL are great if you print frequently or in high volumes other wise don't waste the money, they will dry out.

Whichever is on sale. The only difference is the number of pages they will supposedly print. Just break it down to the per page cost

If you don't do a lot of printing, I would suggest you get the economy version. If it should sit long enough it could possibly dry out and you wouldn't lose as much money that way. You can always change to a larger one if your usage increases.

I would recommend the original. This is a happy medium, and the ink in the cartridges stays good for a long time.

High yield does not work with my 2544 (which this 61 ink also works with 2540) - and the XL doesn't work for me.

Good question. Even if you don't use the printer a lot, buying the XL size cartridges can save you money over time. They have twice as much ink and costs a little bit less than buying the regular cartridges every time. I hope this helps.
