A:Answer It's not actually based on the number of words (so people who like to claim it's based on one or two words per page are wrong). Like most printer manufacturers, we base it on the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 28 standard, which includes text as well as color and black and white images. Unfortunately, the page suite used doesn't appear to be available on line to examine, but it's designed to mimic what the average person does when printing.
