Will this work with the HP Office Jet Pro 6978? null

on the side of the box, it references all the HP Printers that it will work with. It reads HP Office Jet, 4540, 4550, 4580, 4680, 4500. HP Office Jet Pro 6978 is not listed. I would use the ink recommended by your printer.

Unfortunately, no. The OfficeJet Pro 6978 can use either the 902 or the high-capacity 902XL cartridges. The 901 cartridges are not compatible.
