Depends on your printer. The photo paper tray should have a picture which side is up. See attached photo

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is according to what printer you have. I have a 5660 all in one printer. The 4x6 photo paper is put into the 4x6 photo slot, glossy side down to print correctly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.What i always do since every printer is made different even on the same brand is to figure out how my printer work. I always load a regular paper first, mark one side with pencil so you know which side is up or down. Then place the paper to my printer and print something out of the paper that you mark. In this way you will know which side your printer prints. Then when i learn which side it print, i install my photo paper glossy side where my printer print on.
