yes it's an inkjet. at the top of the page, in the 'cookie crumbs' menu bar, this is listed under inkjet printers as the last category: "Best Buy Computers & Tablets Printers> Ink & Toner> All Printers>Inkjet Printers", plus you could just search 'inkjet printers' on best buy and this one would be in the results. inkjet printers come with ink cartridges, just like it says in the description, otherwise it would list 'toner cartridge.' google search would tell you. HP's site would tell you.
