“Does anyone else have issues with this printer going through a large amount of ink? The printer is not used very often, had it since last fall and it has gone through at least 3 black ink cartridges already. Too much ink for the little use it has gotten.”

How often you have to replace the ink can depend on the number of pages you print per month. You should also try to print at least one page every other week if you do not use it frequently to help prevent the ink from drying out. The 67 Black cartridge is good for roughly 120 pages and the 67 XL Black is good for roughly 240 pages. You can also use Instant Ink which has you pay a monthly fee based on a plan of how many pages you print per month with the ink getting shipped to your house and you ship the old cartridges back to HP. No cost for shipping or the cartridges themselves.
