How does the Instant Ink feature work? null

It works rather well. The printer will notifiy HP when the ink level is dropping and they will send you new cartridges before you run out. They include a prepaid envelope to send the used cartridge back.

you sign up with HP and your computer/printer look at your usage they use the information you have put on file with HP, then order ink when you are getting low it is then shipped to the address you put on file HP is notorious for not working well with Refilled cartridges, and this is supposed to cut down on lost time going to get ink, and I believe HP is offering discounts for doing this way. We have had moderate success as our usage is changes with the seasons.
