I did initially experiences the same. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled. I am using two HP computers with my printers. I also used HP troubleshooting options to accomplish this task. The first few times the troubleshooting options did not work. I was rushing. I unplugged everything for 1 minute and started again. After leaving everything alone for 30 minutes there were no more error messages. This was about 9 months ago and I print a minimum of 100 pages per month.
