Can I only buy and use the black and white ink? null

There are color ink cartridge supports your printer. You can log on to hpinstantink.com and search the printer model number.

Yes the printer can use only black ink. You can remove the color cartridge and the printer will switch to "single cartridge mode". It will continue to print in black until a color cartridge is replaced in the printer.
