“Can I print only in black if a color ink cartridge is empty?”

• Yes, you have the option to print in grayscale, which is black and white. You can always choose this option and only use the black ink cartridge for as long as you like. Best Buy does offer good pricing on their replacement ink cartridges for this printer. They are very affordable.

• If you take out the empty color ink cartridge, the printer will automatically go into the single cartridge mode. Then, you can print with just the black ink cartridge.
