Anything's compatible with LibreOffice. But LibreOffice Writer eats .docx files. Convince yourself--research it online, and keep looking for blogs catering to people who deal in docs for a living. WPS is just as bad. I finally settled on TextMaker (from SoftMaker), which has the best .docx filters in the business, and ended up buying the Pro version.
