“There has been issues with the hinges breaking with past HP’s…has that issue been changed ? If no, does the warranty cover replacement on hinges ? Thank you”

Yes, the hinges have been strengthened. But, if you start yanking on them to get them to break, that's not covered under the warranty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had one of the earlier models and had the problem with the hinges. Both of my newer units have been greatly improved with the hinges issue. They are much sturdier, placed better and I haven't had any problem. I use both laptops everyday for at least 7 to 9 hours, using every position. If you have questions about the warranty, I would contact HP. Hope this helps.
