“Within the past four years I have bought two HP 6830 pro jet printers. And both of them went out before two years were up. They both stopped working because it says there’s a problem with the printhead. Does this printer have a removable printhead?”

I appreciate you taking the time to reach out! The OfficeJet Pro line is designed primarily for users who will print 200-2000 pages per month. If you do not print at that volume it is more likely the printhead over time will form viscous plugs. There are other things like making sure the printer is left on and such that will help as well. I am happy to inform you that all of our current Envy and OfficeJet (not pro) models have a dual cartridge system which has the printhead actually built onto the ink cartridge. This means that the printhead is replaced each time the cartridge is changed. It also means you are able to run in single cartridge mode with only one ink installed if needed.
