“Do the color ink cartridges have to be installed in order to print black and white? Another words could I only put black and white cartridges for the printer and still print black and white without having any color cartridges in the printer?”

• Haven't tried it yet but the salesperson said printer would accommodate that.

• This is an HP 2-cartridge printer, and hence you can print with a single cartridge if you want to. Simply remove the cartridge you don't want.
