Yes! HP provides several additional chassis space and screws and the appropriate power and data cables/connectors to mount a 3.5" or 2.5" SATA HDD inside the unit. I mounted a 3.5" HDD inside the unit shortly after delivery, so that I can keep the SSD for the OS and applications, and the HDD for data. There is room and SATA connectors on the mainboard for another SATA SSD or HDD, but you'll need to add another SATA data cable. Note that if you want to add a CD/DVD drive, it will have to be external, connected via a USB port; there's docking space and no opening in the chassis to accommodate this type of drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! A 3.5" or 2'5" SATA HDD or SSD can easily be added to the unit. There is sufficient space, mounting rails and cables/connectors to add a 3.5" drive; for a 2.5" drive you will likely need to use a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter. Adding a 3.5" SATA HDD was the first thing that I did after I bought the HP TE01-3254 Envy desktop. From the attached pictures, note that I mounted the 3.5" drive upside-down, using the extra mounting screws that HP included with the unit.
