“I have two monitors one is using the HDMI port. However, as soon as I connect the DVI from 2nd monitor to DVI-VGA adapter to use the VGA port on the computer, the computer starts beeping and there is no display on the 2nd monitor.”

Does that DVI monitor have a higher resolution than 1920x1080? If so, the VGA port can't drive it at a higher resolution. If that's not the case, you'll want to contact the HP support team directly so they can troubleshoot it with you in real time.

HP Support was not much help with troubleshooting (said I needed to sign-up for a subscription service). Switched to VGA-VGA cable as a fallback solution myself. Thanks.
