My older HP laptops have had no issues connecting via Wi-fi. I'm happy with all aspects of the printer so far, though I've been disappointed with HP ink cartridge printers in the past -- usually when it comes time to print a novel for line-by-line editing and I have to replace the cartridges immediately afterward. It's not that much black ink. Hello!

And while it does have a port for an Ethernet cable, you don't have to use it. If you're looking to connect it with a USB printer cable (which I'm guessing is how you've got the 5660 hooked up), you can use the same cable you're using now.
