• goes in the regular paper tray,face down. Depends which paper you will use first.

• Thank you for the question. 8.5 x 11" photo paper will be loaded in the main paper tray, print side down. You can put it in a small volume on top of regular paper (and change the paper type to "photo paper" before printing) but the best feed will be without using mixed paper in the tray.
