If you have an older wireless router, it may be time to upgrade. The newer routers have a longer range and they handle more devices. If you are still having issues, visit https://support.hp.com

What you're experiencing is something I also experience with my hp 7855 and have since we got it. It prints usually when I first come over to the family member's house where it is, then later in the day it won't connect - for printing - no matter what. EVEN when it's willing to connect to scan, which is also problematic from time to time. I've spent a lot of time trying to diagnose the problem but in the end, it's most expeditious to just re-add the printer in my case. I'm not sure what amount of hassle that would be on a PC. I don't come here that often to have had to reinstall the printer on my mac about seven times. That's' ridiculous. I was talking to C.S. at a totally unrelated organization and happened to mention this connectivity deficit w/ my hp printer. I was almost surprised when he said, gosh same thing w/ mine at home, I never did get it worked out and just have a USB cable attached. Funny that, so do we. My wife doesn't even try wirelessly more than once, she carries her laptop in there to retrieve the prints she sent and if nothing came out, she just plugs in and prints again over USB, as if it's expected. The reason I wasn't completely surprised dis because when I had my first wireless hp - which set up seamlessly - my friend had the same model and he NEVER got it to connect over wifi. Problem is he happened to be a senior tech at a major tech company that's a competitor to Microsoft, had networked all the computers around his house, and more. what I'm saying is it's a hp hardware problem. Take you printer back today (or as soon as you're able) and exchange it for the same thing, apparently, most of will them work, but they allow detective units to hit the market, it's deplorable, they are deplorable for that because in our case it's too late. And I wasted hours many away from my family trying to resolve that problem which is unresolvable as it's a defective product not a setting you can fix.
