The 7855 has an automatic document feeder for copying and scanning whereas the 6255 has a lift up panel where papers have to inserted one by one.

The Envy Photo 7855 printer has an auto document feeder on top that can scan, copy or fax up to 35 pages at a time. It also has a front USB port for a USB flash drive and a SD card slot. The Envy Photo 6255 printer has a front SD card reader. You can print photos from the USB flash drive or SD card. Or you can scan pictures or documents to the USB flash drive or SD card. It also has a color touchscreen panel. The Envy Photo 6255 printer has a black and white control panel.
