That link will take you directly to the source, your printer is not listed but it does give a large listing of all printers eligible as well as how the whole thing works. I have a printer set up on the program but have yet to actually see it in action due to low usage on my printer.

The HP Photosmart 6510 is NOT instant ink compatible. The new HP Envy line of printers replace the Photosmarts and are instant ink eligible. There are 3 plans: 50 pages for $2.99/ month; 100 pages for $4.99/ month and 300 pages for $9.99/ month. No need to buy ink.

It depends on how much you plan to print. There are three levels in the program. They are $2.99, $4.99, & $9.99 per month depending on the amount of pages you intend to print.

I'm sure it will. The cost is $9.99 per month or $120 per year which beats the cost of ink when you purchase on your own. It's a great plan once you start.
