It should work. I have made copies with my printer off line and it updated the total printed pages on the HP Connect web site after the printer went back on line. The only drawback would be if you make a lot of copies off line and ink gets low the printer will not be able to communicate with the system to order new ink.

Please try again later.ours is setup the same. we connect and print only using our smartphone as a hotspot. it updates every time you are connected to the internet. so make sure you connect once every other day so your system gets update and you ink will arrive even before you need it.
