It's actually 2.99 per month as long as you're under the limit of pages. Also, if you're over, it's just a $1 per 10 extra sheets. Still a great deal.

No, you pay the 2.99 per month for the 50 page limit and you can use all the ink you want. As long as you stay within the limit, they will automatically send you replacement ink when your ink is low at no additional cost other than the 2.99 per month.

the sales rep explained that the $2.99 was billed every month and when ever your computer run out of ink they will ship you new ink prior when it gets low

Good question. You do not pay 2.99 every time you get sent ink. This plan looks at the number of pages you use. You choose a plan based on how many pages you print per month. HP will send you ink whenever you are low on ink and it will be at your doorstep before you even run out. That being said, you will be charged 2.99 per month to be able to print 50 pages a month, no matter how much ink you use. If you don't use up all 50 pages in a month, the extra pages will roll over to the next month. You will pay 2.99 a month every month until you cancel. For your continued payment of 2.99 you have always have ink sent to you before you run out. I hope that helps.
