“Internet connection My printer is connected to the internet by mobile hot spot and or wi fi so it doesn't have a constant connection. Does HP count every page you print every time you use it or will the printer keep track and send the info when I connect. No one I have talked to knows if instant ink will work in my application”

• It should work. I have made copies with my printer off line and it updated the total printed pages on the HP Connect web site after the printer went back on line. The only drawback would be if you make a lot of copies off line and ink gets low the printer will not be able to communicate with the system to order new ink.

• It's my understanding, though Im not certain on this, that if the printer is not connected the printer does keep track of the pages printed internally and will upload the info the next time it is online.

• Instant Ink only depends on the HP model of printer. The printer keeps track and sends the info to HP when it has an Internet Connection.

• Yes your account keeps track since it's connected to your printer, all you do is log in to your account and review.

• Your printer should update its stats everytime you connect it to the internet

• ours is setup the same. we connect and print only using our smartphone as a hotspot. it updates every time you are connected to the internet. so make sure you connect once every other day so your system gets update and you ink will arrive even before you need it.

• The printer will keep track and when you turn the hotspot on, the printer will tell hp where you're ink is at. Hope that made sense.
