There are two numbers-the recommended monthly volume, and the duty cycle. The monthly volume is the amount you can print every month and have the printer last a normal amount of time (which, for a business laser printer like this, would be several years. The duty cycle is the the maximum amount you could print in a month. Think of the duty cycle as being like the maximum speed of a car-you can drive the car at full throttle all the time but it will shorten the life of the car
