This printer does not have scanning capabilities. If you need a mobile printer with a scanner, we recommend looking at the Back to the HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer.

I have no idea as I have been unable to set up the printer on my desktop computer. When I contacted hpconnected.com to ask for assistance and set up an account, I was put through to a live person by phone who, in short, required a payment of $49.00 dollars to help set up my printer and took charge of my computer externally. I was suspicious that this was not a valid HP customer service and disconnected both the call and my computer from the router. I am very upset by this and warn everyone not to contact hoconnect.com despite the fact that the fact sheet which comes with the printer suggests to do so. So far I have been without a printer and am very disappointed in HP for such poor and deceiving customer service. Be warned!!
