“The scan feature on the control panel only shows Compute and not Email but youtube videos show a email button on the control panel. How can that be fixed, for both connected to a Windows PC and Mac Laptop. Thanks.”

Hello. Thanks for your question. The scan to email function has been removed from the control panel of this printer. The easiest method is to use the HP Smart app to scan to email. You can use the scan option on the HP Smart app to share via email. To make it easier the next time, we recommend using Shortcuts. It allows you to make a shortcut, i.e. a scanned item to be emailed to this email address.
