• easy to operate when it works. I changed from 6978 also. Ink subscription is same. Have a black, yellow, blue and red cartridge.

• I'm not sure if the ink is the same. But I'm sure Best Buy can tell you that. yes the hp 8025 is very easy to operate I recently purchased mine and I love it.
