If you want to automatically scan several pages, I would recommend using the auto document feeder that is on top. It can hold up to 35 pages pages for scanning or copying. Then, you will be able to save that scanned document as a PDF. If you are trying to scan more than one page on flatbed scanner of this HP Officejet Pro 8025 printer, you can would scan the first page. Then, add a page to scan the next page. You would continue until all of the pages are scanned. Then, you can save the document as a PDF.
