The most basic difference between the 8610 and the 8620 is the 8610 will not copy two-sided from the paper-feed tray. Both printers will print two-sided, but only the 8620 will automatically scan both sides of original document(s). Another key feature of the 8620 is that it will handle legal-size (i.e. 8.5" x 14") scans, copies, prints & faxes.

The guts are some different in the 20 than the 10. I run some of the 20's and the top copy tray handles more paper, and the drive is better. The glass on the 20 is heavier than the 10. I know I just broke one while cleaning it. That will teach me to make sure my tools are in a safe place before I clean the a glass again! Also the printer is heavier built because it will handle more pages per month. If you can handle the extra cost I would go with the 20, mine sure have been good ones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the 8620 is slightly faster print speeds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The inly thing I have noticed since I have the 8620 at home and the 8610 at work is the display screen. The 8620 model has a larger display screen and it looks slightly bigger in general. I do notice the 8620 can scan several documents faster - I scanned 15 pages in a matter of seconds. I imagine the 8610 hasn't been set up like mine at home. Other than that I can't see much difference.
